旅游学院积极推进来华留学生毕业论文质量提升
今年上半年,旅游学院国际旅游与酒店管理系积极指导来华留学生毕业论文工作,狠抓毕业论文的质量提升。随着部分留学生在2023年上半年回归校园进行线下学习,教师与助教们以无比的热情与活力,主动对2019级来华留学生的毕业论文进行积极指导。
4月25日,贺腊梅老师在学院教室里就学生Lakmal的毕业论文进行了一次深度的面对面指导。在这次指导中,贺老师从论文结构、行文逻辑到格式规范等多个层面,为Lakmal提供了全面而深入的指导,使他深受启发。“这次面对面的交流让我收益匪浅,贺老师的专业指导让我对我的论文有了更明确的方向。”Lakmal对于此次学习体验表达了自己的感激之情。

同时,我院针对留学生基础较薄弱,学习能力参差不齐等情况,采用让一些中国研究生同学辅导本科生留学生的方式,帮助和督促留学生进步。博士研究生助教喻志成多次为本科毕业论文提出指导。他提醒学生准备好目前存在的问题,就这些问题进行线下讨论与解决。在一次次深入的交流中,助教与Arjun共同审查了论文的问题,对之前Arjun提出的问题进行了集中解决,让Arjun的论文质量得到了实质性的提升。Arjun同学也表示,线下的交流使得他困惑已久的问题得到了高效的解答。

Tourism School Intensifies Efforts to Improve the Quality of Theses for International Students
The Department of International Tourism and Hotel Management of the School of Tourism at Sichuan University has been actively guiding international students to improve the quality of their graduation theses in the first half of this year. As some international students returned to campus for offline learning in the first half of 2023, teachers and teaching assistants enthusiastically guided the graduation theses of the international students from the class of 2019.
During the latter part of April 2023, special teaching scenarios were frequently staged at the School of Tourism. On April 25th, Professor He Lamei gave a profound face-to-face guidance on Lakmal's thesis in the classroom. In this guidance, Professor He provided comprehensive and in-depth instructions on multiple aspects including thesis structure, logical coherence, and formatting standards, enabling Lakmal to gain a wealth of knowledge. “This face-to-face interaction was incredibly beneficial to me, and Professor He's professional guidance provided me with a clearer direction for my thesis,” Lakmal expressed his gratitude for the learning experience.

Teaching assistant Yu Zhicheng asked Arjun to prepare the existing problems in advance and discussed and solved them offline on the afternoon of April 26. During this close interaction, Yu and Arjun jointly reviewed the issues in the thesis, addressing the problems Arjun had encountered in his thesis, which significantly improved the quality of Arjun’s work. Arjun said that offline communication helped him get answers to questions he had been confused about for a long time.

The Department of International Tourism and Hotel Management of Tourism School at Sichuan University has demonstrated its emphasis on international education and its determination to enhance students' academic literacy through in-depth training of international students, especially rigorous guidance on graduation theses.
